Wizkid: Dreaming Is the First Step to Success
Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, recently opened up about what it truly takes to reach the pinnacle of success. The 34-year-old music sensation emphasized that having a clear vision is absolutely essential on the road to achievement.
During an interview with NBC 4 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where his documentary Wizkid: Long Live Lagos premiered, the Starboy boss revealed that envisioning success is the very first step for anyone who wants to make it big.
When asked if he always saw himself reaching this level, Wizkid didn’t hesitate. He said, “Yeah, absolutely, man. You have to dream it before you achieve it. So, yeah, [I’ve] always [known I would be successful].”
Offering advice to young dreamers, the ‘Essence’ hitmaker encouraged them to remain authentic, put in the hard work, and keep faith in God throughout their journey.
The event also served as a special moment for Wizkid and his partner, Jada Pollock, who introduced their daughter, Morayo, to the public. The proud father was seen cradling his little girl while posing for photos alongside Jada and members of his team.
In short, Wizkid’s message is clear: before you can make your dreams a reality, you have to dare to dream them first.
