The debate over Peter Obi’s absence in Benue State took a new twist as activist Verydarkman fired back at presidential aide Daniel Bwala’s accusation that Obi lacks empathy. The aide had criticized Obi for not visiting the victims of recent attacks in Benue, contrasting him with Verydarkman, who had made the trip.

In a fresh video response, Verydarkman revealed that Peter Obi actually attempted to visit Benue in April 2025 but was blocked by the state governor. He explained, “Mr Bwala, you said Peter Obi wasn’t there and lacks empathy. Let me break it down. I’m not trying to defend Peter Obi, but in April 2025, Peter Obi was stopped from entering Benue State by the governor.”

He went on to highlight the political tensions surrounding the situation, noting that since Peter Obi and his associates launched the ADC party, things have been unsettled. “Wike will speak today, you will speak tomorrow, and yet he hasn’t even been given a presidential ticket,” Verydarkman added, hinting at the complexities behind the scenes.

This exchange sheds light on the political dynamics influencing public perceptions and the challenges faced by politicians trying to navigate sensitive situations.
