Mr Eazi Admits Music Alone Couldn’t Fund His Lavish Wedding to Temi Otedola

Weddings are expensive, but when it’s a billionaire’s daughter tying the knot, the price tag can reach astronomical heights. Nigerian singer and businessman, Mr Eazi, has admitted that his music income alone would never have been enough to bankroll his wedding to Temi Otedola, daughter of wealthy magnate Femi Otedola.
The singer, known for hits like “Leg Over,” made this revelation after someone on X suggested he was trying to recover his wedding costs with the release of his new single, “Cassanova.” Mr Eazi playfully brushed off the comment, joking that music earnings could never have covered such an extravagant event.
Another person argued that his past music successes, especially around 2018, should have been more than enough to cover the expenses. But the singer quickly clarified that while 2017 and 2018 were packed with hit songs, those years also turned out to be his most financially difficult period in nearly a decade. According to him, he was “the brokest” during that time, despite the hits topping charts. Still, he acknowledged being grateful that the music from those years gained massive traction.
Mr Eazi and Temi recently exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Iceland, keeping their celebration away from the glare of the public eye. The couple’s love story dates back to 2022 when they announced their engagement in London. Interestingly, Mr Eazi has previously shared that he first met Temi through her older sister, DJ Cuppy, who was already his friend at the time.
His candid comments about wedding expenses give fans a peek into the realities behind the glamour of celebrity marriages. It seems even chart-topping hits can’t always foot the bill when love meets luxury.
