Mohbad: VeryDarkMan Drops Supposed Voice Clip of Zlatan Ibile
Vincent Otse Martins, better known as VeryDarkMan, a well-known Nigerian social media activist, has shared what appears to be a voice recording involving Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and music promoter Sam Larry. The conversation reportedly touches on the events surrounding the tragic death of the late singer Mohbad.
The viral audio clip features Zlatan speaking in Yoruba with Sam Larry, where he expresses hesitation about getting involved in the drama and controversies swirling around Mohbad’s passing, citing the chaos that speaking out on social media can bring.
VeryDarkMan posted the recording on his Instagram page and has now given Zlatan a 48-hour deadline to publicly clarify his silence and explain his role—or lack thereof—during the initial calls for justice for Mohbad.
Responding to critics who questioned why he is revisiting the case, VeryDarkMan fired back, accusing many of being insincere in their pursuit of justice. He emphasized his determination to see justice served for Mohbad, pointing out that the singer has yet to be laid to rest.
He also condemned those who allegedly knew the truth but chose to intimidate others into silence. “I’m releasing this voice recording between Zlatan and Sam Larry from the time Mohbad died. I expect Zlatan to come forward within 48 hours to explain what he knows and why he stayed silent when we were demanding justice for Mohbad,” he said.
“I see many comments asking why I’m bringing this case up again. It shows how many have moved on, which is why our government doesn’t take us seriously. We’re too quick to forget,” he added.
“I want justice for the boy. His spirit is still restless, and while some knew the truth, they distracted everyone and used bullying to cover it up. And Zlatan, you kept quiet.”
VeryDarkMan made it clear that he’s reopening the case intentionally and warned detractors to step aside if they don’t like it. “If you ask why I brought this up again, you’re not genuine. You want the case to die, yet claim you want justice. Many are fake,” he declared.
The public remains divided—while some support Zlatan’s decision to keep quiet, others are calling on him to share his side of the story.
