Kizz Daniel Reclaims Masters of ‘New Era’ Album from Former Label G-Worldwide
Afrobeats sensation Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, has successfully regained ownership of the masters for his debut album, New Era, from his previous record label, G-Worldwide.
Sharing the exciting news on his X account this Monday, Kizz Daniel also confirmed that he reclaimed the masters for his popular singles “Yeba” and “Sofa.”
Expressing his joy, the singer wrote, “After countless late nights in the studio and much reflection, I finally own every track on the ‘New Era’ album from 2016, plus the singles ‘Yeba’ and ‘Sofa.’ Getting my masters back means more than words can say. Thanks for sticking with me. #NewEra #MyCatalog #Grateful.”
Kizz Daniel initially released New Era on May 14, 2016, under G-Worldwide. In November 2017, he parted ways with the label and launched his own imprint, Flyboy I.N.C. Although his former label boss, Emperor Geezy, sued him, Kizz Daniel was cleared of all charges.
Interestingly, in 2023, Kizz Daniel appointed Emperor Geezy as the CEO of Flyboy I.N.C., highlighting a remarkable turn in their professional relationship.
This milestone marks a significant victory for Kizz Daniel, solidifying his control over his musical legacy and catalog.
