Fugitive Shares Instagram Appeal from Hideout, Seeks Help from Trump and Celebrities as Manhunt Continues
One of the inmates who broke out of the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, Antoine Massey, has surfaced online with a video message from his hiding spot. In the clip, Massey denies the accusations tied to his arrest and escape, while reaching out for assistance from high-profile figures including rappers Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, NBA YoungBoy, and former President Donald Trump.
Identifying himself as “one of the ones that was let out of OJC,” Massey insists that the person he was in the past is not who he is today. He refutes claims that he threatened a maintenance worker with a weapon and labels the jail system corrupt, naming both the Orleans Justice Center and St. Tammany Parish jails.
Massey argues that the domestic abuse battery charge against him stemmed from a false allegation by a jealous girlfriend. He presents affidavits to support his claims, emphasizing the dates on the documents.
Accusing the State of Louisiana of corruption, he contends that he was unfairly prosecuted and mistreated while incarcerated. Facing what he describes as a life sentence for undeserved charges, Massey says his escape was an attempt to flee an unjust situation.
Of the ten inmates who escaped that day, Massey and Derrick Groves remain at large, with authorities having recaptured the other eight. More than a dozen individuals have been arrested for allegedly aiding the fugitives. A $50,000 reward is currently offered for information leading to the capture of Massey and Groves.
