DDG Eyes Nigerian Property as Child Custody Dispute with Halle Heats Up
American rapper and YouTube star Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., better known as DDG, has revealed plans to purchase a home in Nigeria amid an ongoing child custody battle with his ex, Halle Bailey.
Earlier this year, DDG announced his intention to move to Lagos, expressing dissatisfaction with life in the United States. On Friday, he took to his X account to share his latest ambition: securing a property in Lagos. “Finna buy a house in Lagos, Nigeria. What’s a good area?” he asked his followers.
Meanwhile, DDG’s lawyer has addressed rumors suggesting the rapper was denied a temporary restraining order against Halle. Contrary to those reports, the attorney confirmed that the court did grant DDG a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) based on serious claims outlined in his petition.
The lawyer further noted that custody matters are still unresolved and will proceed to a full evidentiary hearing, where both parties will have the chance to present their cases and defenses.
As the custody dispute unfolds, DDG’s move to invest in Nigerian real estate signals a significant chapter in his personal and professional life.
