Clem Ohameze Denies Health and Family Rumours, Moves to Sue Accuser
Gossip may travel fast, but Clem Ohameze is determined not to let lies run unchecked. The veteran Nollywood actor has come forward to firmly reject claims about his health and family, making it clear that enough is enough.
The drama began after a Facebook user identified as Okwulora alleged that Clem had suffered a stroke, been abandoned by his sons, and left in the care of his daughter. The actor, however, wasted no time in calling out the story as pure fabrication. According to him, he doesn’t even have three sons and has never granted any interview making such statements.
In an emotional video, the actor shared how exhausting it has been dealing with persistent rumors about his health, noting that these false reports cause needless pain to his loved ones. He revealed that legal action has already been taken against Okwulora, stressing that this kind of defamation is no longer something he will tolerate.
“I contacted my friend who works with the DSS and have also initiated a police case. This is cybercrime. If you need cheap attention, find it elsewhere. I won’t allow anyone to drag my name just to get clicks,” he said with visible frustration. He further reminded the public that this was not the first time false news about him had circulated. “First, it was rumors of my death. Now, it’s a stroke and family abandonment. But who did I ever grant such an interview to? And since when do I have three sons?” he added.
The actor explained that his daughter was the only one in his family who even came across the misleading post. Still, he couldn’t hide his disappointment at the emotional stress these stories bring. “Why would people do this to me?” he asked, visibly shaken but resolute in his decision to pursue justice.
For Clem Ohameze, protecting his reputation and shielding his family from the harm of falsehoods has become a priority. By turning to legal measures, he is sending a strong message that not every rumor can be swept under the carpet.
