Chris Brown Held in Custody Over Assault Allegations
Chris Brown, the well-known American singer, has been remanded by Manchester Magistrates’ Court in connection with an assault case. On Friday, Justice Joanne Hirst refused bail and ordered that the case move beyond the Magistrates’ Court.
The matter has now been transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London, with the next hearing scheduled for June 13, 2025.
According to reports, the R&B star was taken into custody at The Lowry Hotel in Salford on Thursday following allegations of a bottle attack at Tape nightclub located in Mayfair.
Brown faces charges of grievous bodily harm for allegedly assaulting music executive Abe Diaw with a bottle back in 2023. Diaw has filed a $16 million lawsuit seeking compensation for injuries and related losses arising from the incident.
