Even global superstars can’t escape the ticking clock. Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, recently confessed that he’s starting to feel the pressure of time and is seriously thinking about having children.
During his 34th birthday bash in Lagos, Burna Boy shared that a chat with oil tycoon Jowizaza got him reflecting on his life choices. The conversation nudged him to realize that he’s no longer getting any younger and it might be time to start building a family.
In his charming pidgin English, he put it simply: “Na so Jowizaza follow me talk the last time, I come dey think about my life. Omo, I don dey old oh, I for begin born pikins.”
This marks a shift from his stance last year when he admitted he wasn’t ready for fatherhood, citing the need to be settled or married before taking that step. Now, it seems the idea of kids is moving from a distant thought to a real plan.
Burna Boy’s candidness about his evolving priorities offers a glimpse into the personal side of a global icon, reminding fans that behind the music and fame, life’s milestones keep calling.
