Adeola Omotoso, the missing daughter of Nollywood star Jumoke George, has come forward with a heartbreaking revelation that she was sold into prostitution in Mali.

The 41-year-old opened up just days after being rescued by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM). Jumoke George had reported her daughter missing after four long years of silence.

In a candid interview with actress Biola Bayo on the Talk to B podcast, Adeola shared the harrowing details of how she was trafficked to Mali under false promises of better opportunities.

She explained that someone she trusted introduced the idea of traveling to Mali, using the lure of a job in a pharmacy. Without informing anyone, she agreed and traveled by road through several countries, including Cotonou, Togo, and Ghana, enduring a four-day journey.

Upon arrival in Bamako, Mali, she contacted the person she was given as a contact, only to discover a cruel truth. At the woman’s house, she was told she had been purchased for N250,000 from her sister and was expected to repay 1.5 million CFA through prostitution.

Determined to survive, Adeola eventually escaped the brothel after securing work with a food vendor.

This harrowing experience sheds light on the dark world of human trafficking and the urgent need to protect vulnerable individuals seeking a better life abroad.
