Radiogad Backs Dangote, Points Fingers at Reckless Pedestrians
When a billionaire’s trucks are constantly in the news for accidents, the easiest target for blame is the man himself. But media personality Radiogad thinks the public is aiming at the wrong person and insists that the real issue lies elsewhere—on the sidewalks, or rather, in the middle of the road.
Speaking on the matter, Radiogad argued that while Aliko Dangote’s name trends for every truck mishap, many overlook how pedestrians often disregard basic road safety. According to him, some people cross busy highways without even glancing left or right, effectively turning the streets into a gamble with their own lives. “Everyone is angry at Dangote,” he said, “but no one is talking about those who cross roads carelessly. A reasonable person always checks before stepping out.”
His comments sparked a lively debate online. Some agreed with his stance, pointing out that in many parts of Nigeria, people dart across traffic without caution. Others, however, clapped back, highlighting that poorly designed roads and the absence of crosswalks put pedestrians in danger even when they try to be careful.
