Friend Speaks Out After Wife Endures Abuse, Contracted STD, and Lost Pregnancy

Some stories shake us to the core, and this one is no exception. A Nigerian woman bravely shared the harrowing ordeal faced by her close friend—a wife who suffered brutal abuse at the hands of her husband, caught an STD he gave her, and tragically miscarried.

The couple, married for less than a year, have been caught in a storm of domestic violence, emotional anguish, and infidelity that has haunted the woman’s life. The husband’s unfaithfulness reportedly included involvement with his baby mama, compounding the betrayal.

Multiple posts across social media, including videos and witness testimonies, have laid bare the distressing details. One particular account tells how the husband aggressively dragged his wife from the kitchen to the bedroom, demanding access to her phone. When she stood her ground, he struck her with a cane—the same one they used to discipline their dog—inflicting injuries that led to a hospital stay.

Her suffering didn’t end with her discharge. Despite her fragile state, the husband insisted on sex, acting as if nothing had gone wrong. Seeking refuge, the woman fled to her parents’ home, only to return to find a stranger—her husband’s supposed fiancée—naked in their matrimonial bedroom.

In an emotional recount, the friend who broke the story said, “I called to understand what happened. She was just watching movies in the kitchen when he took her phone, saying he was hungry. At first, they joked about it, but things turned ugly fast.”

“He wanted her to unlock her phone. She refused, reminding him he knew the code. Then he got furious, dragged her away, and beat her with the cane used for their dog. I have contacts from nurses and neighbours who witnessed part of this. She deserves a far better life.”

After returning home, the abuse worsened. The husband’s own mother reportedly tried to turn her son against his wife. He stopped sharing meals with her and refused to sleep in the same room. On one occasion, when the wife was ill and asked for support, he callously told her it was none of his business before fleeing to a hotel with another woman.

Her neighbours later tipped her off about what was happening back at the house, prompting her to pack her belongings and leave once more.
