Who Is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is not a fictional character, a religious idea, or a mythical figure—He is a real, historical person.
His life, death, and resurrection are central to the Christian faith and have been foretold, documented, and affirmed both spiritually and historically. The Bible tells us clearly who Jesus is and what He came to do.
John 3:16 (KJV):
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1. Jesus Was Prophesied Long Before His Birth
Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, prophets foretold His coming, His mission, and His divine identity.
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV):
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”Micah 5:2 (KJV):
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah… out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel…”

2. His Birth: God Became Flesh
Jesus was born through immaculate conception—a miraculous virgin birth that confirmed His divine origin.
Matthew 1:23 (KJV):
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Jesus is God in the flesh, fully divine and fully human.
John 1:14 (KJV):
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”
3. He Grew, Felt, and Lived Like Us
Jesus experienced the human condition. He felt pain, sorrow, joy, hunger, and fatigue. He was tempted just like we are, yet remained sinless.

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”Luke 2:52 (KJV):
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

- Emotions, including weeping (John 11:35)
4. He Lived Righteously and Did the Will of God
Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, fulfilling the will of God even unto death.
Philippians 2:8 (KJV):
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”John 6:38 (KJV):
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
5. Jesus Was Convicted, Crucified, and Resurrected
Though innocent, Jesus was sentenced to death as a criminal. But His crucifixion was not a defeat—it was the fulfillment of His mission to redeem mankind.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV):
“But he was wounded for our transgressions… and with his stripes we are healed.”Romans 5:8 (KJV):
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
After His death, He rose again in power.

“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.”
6. Jesus Ascended and Promised to Return
After appearing to His disciples for 40 days following His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven and promised to return.

“…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner…”John 14:3 (KJV):
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself…”
7. Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
Jesus claimed divinity and demonstrated it through His life, death, and resurrection. He is not one of many ways to God—He is the Way.
John 14:6 (KJV):
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”Colossians 2:9 (KJV):
“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

Jesus is not a myth. He is:
