Rema Celebrates Turning Social Media Trolls into Triumphs
Popular Nigerian Afrobeats artist Rema has shared his delight in being trolled on social media, revealing how the criticism has actually worked in his favor.
In a recent video interview shared online, Rema reflected on his career and noted that the constant online trolling has played a role in his global rise and success.
Despite facing doubts about his distinctive sound, the singer acknowledged how damaging it would have been if he had given up on his dreams because of negative feedback.
“It’s amazing to see something that people troll and criticize me for, and guess what? I’m actually benefiting from it. Imagine if I had stopped or listened to the trolls and decided to quit,” he said.
“Four years down the line, it’s paid off—and there’s more to come. It’s a vast territory, you know? I was actually the first Afrobeats artist to tour India, and I even came from Africa, if I’m not mistaken. It’s a big deal.”
Rema’s story is a testament to turning negativity into fuel for success.
