Big Brother Naija star Kiddwaya has addressed the backlash sparked by his recent plea for donations to support victims of the Benue massacre.
Reports confirm that suspected herdsmen attacked Yelewata community in Benue State last weekend, tragically claiming over 200 lives.
In response, Kiddwaya, through his foundation, called on Nigerians to contribute financially to aid those affected. However, his appeal didn’t sit well with many, especially given his flashy lifestyle showcased on social media.
The public reaction was swift and critical, prompting Kiddwaya to remove his donation request from X.
Despite the backlash, Kiddwaya remained unfazed, stating, “I’m glad for the attention this has brought because it highlights the seriousness of the Benue crisis. Thank you all. The funds raised will go towards providing shelter, clothing, food, and medical care for affected families.

Kiddwaya’s response underscores his commitment to helping those in need despite the criticism.
