Afrobeat sensation Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known as Kizz Daniel, recently shared heartfelt insights about his relationship with his late father and how it influenced his new song, ‘Al-Jannah.’

In a candid podcast interview, Kizz Daniel described his father as his best friend during his lifetime. The song’s title, ‘Al-Jannah,’ translates to “paradise,” and serves as a tribute not only to his father but to all loved ones lost along life’s journey.

“We’ve faced many losses,” he reflected. “I lost my dad in 2015, just days after my 21st birthday. We lost our son in 2021, my wife lost her mother in 2024, and I also lost my stepmother. This song is for everyone who has experienced such pain.”

He added, “I wanted to capture that feeling of friendship and loss, which is why I used the word ‘friend’ in the song. It’s a way to honor those we’ve lost and keep their memories alive.”

Kizz Daniel’s touching tribute resonates deeply, reminding fans of the universal experience of grief and remembrance.
