Jay-Jay Okocha Offers Victor Osimhen Advice on Next Steps After Stellar Galatasaray Loan
Nigerian football icon Jay-Jay Okocha has weighed in on Victor Osimhen’s future following the striker’s impressive loan stint at Galatasaray. Speaking to Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, the former Fenerbahçe maestro encouraged Osimhen to consider staying in Turkey, even if it means making some personal compromises.
“Turkey is a fantastic place to play and live football,” Okocha said. “Sometimes, sacrifices are necessary when making career decisions. Osimhen had a fantastic season at Galatasaray. He’s happy there, so why not stay? I love Turkey, and he does too.”
When pressed about any insider info on Osimhen’s next move, Okocha kept it simple: “I don’t know. Wherever he goes, I wish him all the best.”
Reflecting on his own two-year spell at Fenerbahçe from 1996 to 1998, Okocha fondly recalled the passionate fans and delicious local food, signing off with a shoutout to his former club: “The greatest is Fener.”
