The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has officially summoned the controversial entertainer Darlington Okoye, better known as Speed Darlington, following serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor.

This development comes after the singer’s recent Instagram Live session, where he shockingly claimed to have engaged in a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old girl. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) swiftly reported the incident to NAPTIP, urging a prompt and thorough investigation.

Facing widespread backlash, Speed Darlington later issued a video stating that his earlier confession was merely a publicity stunt to promote a new song. He also apologized for any hurt or offense caused by his remarks.

In a statement released on Thursday, NAPTIP confirmed it had summoned the entertainer for questioning and warned that failure to comply would result in legal consequences.

The agency reaffirmed its dedication to protecting minors’ rights and ensuring that anyone accused of sexual abuse or exploitation is held accountable.

Additional images related to the case have surfaced, further fueling public interest and scrutiny.
