To clear the air, the singer took to his X account and shared the viral footage himself, urging the Ghana Police Service to make it clear which Peter Okoye they were referring to. Writing in his usual lively pidgin, he declared, “Abeg make una dey specificaly dey specify which ‘PETER OKOYE’. I no be thief.”
His swift response was a reminder that sharing a name doesn’t mean sharing a reputation, as he distanced himself from the criminal allegations and called for accuracy in identifying the accused.
