2Face Idibia Declares Benue K!llings a National Crisis, Voices Heartfelt Concern
Nigerian music legend and Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Entertainment and Community Outreach, Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Face, has labeled the ongoing violence in parts of Benue State as a national emergency.
Idibia expressed profound grief over the relentless attacks, lamenting the lack of a lasting resolution from the authorities. In a heartfelt video message, the iconic musician urged all stakeholders in Benue to set aside politics and personal agendas to unite in putting an end to the crisis.
“My heart is heavy. I am deeply saddened and frustrated. What’s happening in Benue State has escalated into a national emergency. I’m at a loss for words. This must stop,” he said.
He continued, “The sadness, anger, and frustration I feel are overwhelming because this violence keeps repeating itself. It’s no longer enough to just condemn it with words; decisive action is urgently needed.”
2Face called on every stakeholder in Benue to come together, emphasizing, “We can put an end to this. I truly believe there is a way forward.”
